Junior Data Scientist

all eyes on screens is a tech and data company at the forefront of innovation in TV advertising. We help drive TV understanding and engagement using Big Data and ML. Our clients are some of the most sophisticated and data-driven advertisers, such as L’Oréal, DAZN, eBay and Audi. We are based in both Croatia and Germany, and we serve clients across the EU. 

Our Data Science team designs and builds algorithms and models that derive insights from Big Data, by leveraging statistics, machine learning, and deep learning. Our team helps clients by uncovering hidden correlations, understanding audience preferences, developing forecasts, understanding video on TV, and optimising TV engagement.

We are looking to expand our Data Science team with people who are excited about applying data science to yet-uncharted applications.

What you’ll be doing:

• Taking part in architecting and designing models aimed at answering business questions by proposing Data Science approaches
• Applying Python/SQL skills to prepare needed datasets
• Applying your skills to build, improve, and maintain models, including:
  • Audience profiling and clustering
  • Time-series forecasting
  • ML/DL models for classification and forecasting
• Applying statistical skills to implement specific analyses and uncover insights relevant to clients' questions
• Collaborating with other members of the Data Science team and sharing knowledge to advance output
• Working within cross-functional teams of marketers, business analysts and software engineers on assessing and testing the viability and fit-for-purpose of proposed solutions, adjusting, and refining the models based on feedback

You are a Great Fit if you have:  

• Master’s or PhD degree in Mathematics, Computer Science or a related quantitative field
• Familiarity with Python or R
• Interest in statistics and ML principles, with strong desire to further develop your skills
• Passion for applying statistics and ML skills to answer business questions
• Openness to trying new techniques and approaches, and developing your knowledge
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Curiosity to understand how the data-related questions fit into broader technology and business objectives
• Internally motivated, intellectually curious and with a drive for excellence
• Proficiency in spoken and written English
• Preference for teamwork
  

Bonus Points for:

• Excellent academic record
• Proven track record in Data Science, Mathematics, or Computer Science competitions 
• Experience with the Python data stack (TensorFlow, XGBoost, scikit-learn, pandas)
• Familiarity with SQL, Git, or Docker
